Man Sitting on Chair in Shadow

I took the photograph I used for this painting when I was in Italy in 2023. I liked his slouched pose and the way light only illuminated small parts of his face, arms, and clothes. Like so many of my figure photographs, I wondered what was on his mind as he sat there. Was he very relaxed or exhausted? I like those types of mysteries.
