Old City in Jerusalem

This painting was made from a photograph my friend took in about 2009. Soon after I rediscovered this photograph in the summer of 2020, I wanted to paint this scene because of its iconic nature for that part of the world. I also really liked the way the light reflected in the scene, and I enjoyed trying to capture the texture of the golden stone.
