Sunlit Street with Planters

I made this painting based on a photograph I took in Italy. I was drawn to the somewhat diffuse rays of sunshine over the buildings along with the strong reflections of light on the road. I also really liked the way the planters were essentially silhouettes, and how the perspective was represented in the photograph.
