Yellow tulips

This painting was commissioned by two individuals who wanted to give it as a gift to one of their very close mutual friends who had recently lost her 107 year old grandmother. The back story is that the grandmother had a special fondness for yellow tulips, and that the family cottage was always filled with them. They thought that a painting of yellow tulips to hang in the cottage would serve as a tribute to the grandmother and her legacy.
