American Pronghorn in Field

American Pronghorn in Field

About

This painting was made from a photograph I found in an old magazine at a friend's cottage. The magazine was from the 1990s, though I am uncertain as to when the photograph was actually taken. I have always been fascinated with nature, and in particular rare or unusual animals. The pronghorn is the only North American relative of the antelope, and they tend to roam in the northwest of United States. My sense is that the average person has never heard of Pronghorn and as such, they can be considered rare.
