Becca with crab

This painting was made as a commission from a close friend’s daughter. Her name is Becca and she is a writer and short filmmaker. She commissioned me to paint her holding a crab for the poster of a film she was making. As a side story, it was the second commissioned painting I had made for Becca. Previously, I painted her holding two lobsters. I must admit I don’t know the symbolic meaning of these images, yet the experience was helpful for me to learn to paint something unusual.
