Children in Park

This painting was based on a photograph taken by my friend over a decade ago. I loved the sweet innocence of the scene, as well as the way the sun helped to define their shapes. Making paintings like this one I find to be very instructive regarding the importance of value in creating a 3-dimensional structure.
