Distant Village in Hills of Tuscany

When I was in Italy in the spring of 2023, my wife and I visited a very small town in the hills of Tuscany. We were taught a traditional way of making pasta by a chef at her family’s restaurant. While we were getting a tour of the area, I noticed a breathtaking view of a distant village. I photographed it, and then painted it after I returned. I particularly enjoyed trying to capture the lushness of the forest surrounding the village.
