Sitting man with bass ukulele

This painting was made from a photograph taken by a close friend. It started as a simple study, but as I proceeded I found myself getting into his particular pose and the way he was almost hovering over the ukelele. It is also one of the few paintings I’ve made with a single colour background, and without completing all his limbs.
