Tree in Silhouette

This painting is another one based on a photo I took in Rome in 2023. It was late in the afternoon, and I was struck by the way the tree was almost black, along with the three figures, against the very bright building behind. I enjoyed finding subtle elements of the tree and the three figures that were visible and trying to determine how to best to represent them on the canvas.
