Wedding Portrait
About
This painting was made using a black and white photograph as the source. It is my son-in-law’s grandparents on their wedding day in the late 1940’s. Both were Holocaust survivors who met and got married soon after their release from concentration camps. I used colours that I thought best represented them after getting information from their family, and I really enjoyed bringing more life to what was now a fairly worn black and white photograph.
